1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files stored on your browser or device. Similar technologies include pixels, software development kits, local storage, session storage, device identifiers and server logs.
These technologies help websites remember information, keep sessions secure, understand site activity, improve performance and support product functionality.
2. Types of technologies we may use
| Essential | Used to load pages, keep forms working, secure sessions, prevent abuse and support core website functionality. |
|---|---|
| Preferences | Used to remember choices such as interface state, consent choices or settings where available. |
| Analytics | Used to understand page performance, visitor behaviour, errors and which content is useful. |
| Scheduling | Used by Calendly when you open the embedded demo booking experience. |
| Product | Used inside Oriko services to support first-party event capture, platform connections and customer journey analysis. |
Oriko does not use cookies to sell personal information. If marketing or remarketing cookies are added in future, Oriko will aim to provide appropriate notice and controls where required.
3. Calendly and third-party embeds
The Oriko website uses Calendly to let visitors book demos. When Calendly loads inside the website, Calendly may set its own cookies or similar technologies to provide scheduling, prevent abuse, remember choices and operate its service.
Calendly's technology is controlled by Calendly. Your use of Calendly may be subject to Calendly's own terms and privacy notices.
4. Oriko product and first-party tracking
Oriko is designed to help businesses capture first-party events and understand customer journeys without relying on fragile third-party cookies. When a customer installs the Oriko Pixel or connects platforms, that customer is responsible for its own cookie notices, privacy notices, consent settings and lawful basis for tracking.
Oriko may process event data, identifiers, platform spend, order data and journey signals to provide attribution, analytics, reports, people and audience features.
5. Your choices
You can control cookies and similar technologies in several ways:
- change your browser settings to block, delete or limit cookies;
- use private browsing or tracking protection features in your browser;
- use device or operating system privacy controls where available;
- avoid using embedded third-party tools if you do not want those providers to process related data;
- use any cookie preference tool Oriko may make available on the website.
Blocking some cookies may affect website functionality, scheduling, security, forms, saved preferences or product features.
6. Do Not Track signals
Some browsers send “Do Not Track” signals. There is no single accepted standard for how websites should respond to those signals. Oriko may not respond to every browser signal, but we will aim to honour explicit consent choices where a consent tool is provided.
7. Changes and contact
Oriko may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with the updated date.
Questions about cookies can be sent to hello@oriko.co.za. For more detail about how Oriko handles personal information, read the Privacy Policy.
